Giant mural celebrates West Indian Carnival

At Rushbond we take design and creative content seriously and believe it has a vital role to play in uplifting all of our lives. As supporters of an exciting Leeds based project, we are thrilled to see  ‘Reflections of a Carnival’ completed and unveiled in Chapeltown.

The mural has been created by Rhian Kempadoo – Millar, a talented artist who crafts her work across multiple disciplines. Famous for large scale costume production, millinery and carnival design, Rhian’s work has captured the joyful vibrancy that Leeds and its West Indian Carnival both represent.

The use of colour is outstanding and the mural successfully acts as a wonderful backdrop for a community to align with a strong, positive, happy identity. Rushbond were very happy to be part of a great project.
