Since our inception in 1986 we’ve become part of the fabric of Yorkshire, building a reputation for quality and innovation, which has set us apart from our peers.
We enjoy what we do, we’re serious about doing things in the right way and we understand the role we play in people’s lives. We are not simply another property developer. We’re distinctive and truly value, appreciate and respect the people we work alongside.
We continue to identify and invest in new places which can meet all our needs in terms of returns, distinction and a sustainable future.
The Spring Exhibition, presented by @the_art_court_ in collaboration with Rushbond, in our stunning First White Cloth Hall in #Kirkgate in #Leeds City Centre.
The show gives a nod to the heritage of the beautifully refurbished Grade II* listed building with whites and muted tones across weaving, drawing, painting, sculpture, installation and more.
Some of the works include Furrow by @_.hannah_robson, which is a 12m long sculptural piece of woven paper that is suspended in the central courtyard area. Sarah Ward (@larkandbower) uses white thread to weave directly onto objects such as tiles and rocks, and Victoria Ferrand Scott (@vferrandscott_sculptor) uses fabric to cast cement sculptures that retain their woven quality and stitch marks. Four large-scale paintings by @zoefrancisspowage depict female figures as both strong yet with a slightly ethereal quality and suggestions of shear fabrics.
The artists are from across the UK with most being based in Yorkshire. They include:
David Appleyard - @appleyarddavid Michelle Duxbury - @alabamathirteen Howard Eaglestone - @howardeaglestone Lorna Johnson - @lornamilnerjohnson Jamie Steward - @jamiestewardartist Roanna Wells - @roannawells Rosie Vohra - @rosievohra Julia Poulton - @juliapoultonart Hondartza Fraga - @hondartza.fraga Victoria Ferrand Scott - @vferrandscott_sculptor Sarah Ward - @larkandbower Courtney Spencer - @court_spencer Sarah Roberts - @sarahrobertsfa Jonathan Hooper - @hooperpainter Hannah Robson - @_.hannah_robson Zoe Spowage - @zoefrancisspowage Kelly Cumberland - @kelly_cumberland
